Creative DNA – Class of 2026

The British Councils Creative DNA initiative accelerates the growth of African fashion businesses by providing designers with mentorship, sponsorship, and capacity-building workshops. By bridging the gap between African talent and UK industry experts, the programme fosters sustainable business models and brand longevity. Furthermore, it drives global market integration by positioning designers on international platforms such as Africa Fashion Week London, successfully introducing authentic African craftsmanship to global buyers and stakeholders.

My photographs document the people and creative environments behind this process, from the designers shaping their collections to the moments in which their work reaches an international audience. The project explores African fashion not simply as an industry, but as an evolving cultural movement.
