Once a year, Jewish believers celebrate the Purim festival in the streets and synagogues of Israel. Purim is traditionally celebrated with parades, the exchange of gifts, and communal eating, drinking, praying, and festivities. It is said that on this day one should drink so much alcohol that one can no longer distinguish between good and evil, or between Mordecai and Haman, two protagonists of the religious story.
